“Surat Cut Diamond” Receives Historic Recognition Through Special Cover Release

On 1st May 2026, during the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conferences 2026 held in Surat, the “Special Cover with Cancellation” dedicated to the globally renowned “Surat Cut Diamond” was unveiled by Hon’ble Chief Minister Shri Bhupendrabhai Patel. The first copy of the special cover was presented to the Hon’ble Chief Minister.

This special recognition was made possible with the active contribution and initiative of Surat Diamond Association. The occasion was graced by the presence of SDA office bearers, industry leaders, dignitaries, and senior officials from the Department of Posts.

The special cover has been released in honour of the recently awarded GI Tag for “Surat Cut Diamond”, which represents the unmatched craftsmanship and precision of Surat’s diamond artisans, admired across the world.

This achievement is a proud milestone not only for Surat Diamond Association and the diamond industry, but also for Gujarat and India, strengthening the global identity and prestige of “Surat Cut Diamond”.
